Her Royal Highness Princess Basmah bint Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has received an honorary doctorate in global humanitarian leadership from the American World University, Delaware, USA.
Her Royal Highness was handed the honorary doctorate by the Ambassador of Human Rights, Head of the Arab Bridge Center for Development and Human Rights in Jordan and Observer on the Committee of Human Rights for the Arab League, Dr. Amjad Shammout. The ceremony took place in Jeddah on Thursday.
In his speech, Dr. Amjad Shammout clarified that Her Royal Highness Princess Basmah bint Saud bin Abdulaziz’s honorary doctorate in global humanitarian leadership came in appreciation and recognition from the American World University and Global Initiative for Humanitarian Leadership for her tireless efforts in the service of humanity and communities, seeking to renounce violence and spreading tolerance and solidarity among people.
In addition to her works in defending of the rights of refugee women and children, and supporting and advocating on their behalf in various parts of the world
Her Royal Highness Princess Basmah bint Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud expressed deep gratitude and appreciation to the American World University and the Global Initiative for Humanitarian Leadership represented by Dr. Amjad Shammout for their kind initiative to grant her an honorary doctorate in global humanitarian leadership. She added that this is an incentive for further efforts. Her Royal Highness will continue to support humanitarian issues and seek to promote a culture of justice, tolerance and peaceful coexistence among the people across the globe to create a more stable, secure, harmonious and happy world.
